Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with a specialized focus on AI/ML integration to join our growing team in Spain. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between traditional enterprise software engineering and the cutting-edge world of Artificial Intelligence. You will be responsible for architecting robust backend systems that not only handle complex business logic but also leverage machine learning models to drive intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making for our high-impact clients.
Responsibilities
- Enterprise Development: Design and develop scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java technologies, adhering to the latest industry standards and design patterns.
- AI/ML Lifecycle: Design, train, test, and deploy AI and ML solutions. This includes selecting the right algorithms, preparing datasets, and fine-tuning models for specific business use cases.
- Intelligent Integration: Seamlessly integrate AI capabilities—such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), predictive analytics, or computer vision—into existing business applications and legacy processes.
- API Ecosystem: Develop and maintain robust APIs and integration services that allow different system components and AI models to communicate efficiently.
- Technical Leadership: Participate in deep technical analysis, software architecture design, and rigorous code reviews to ensure maintainability and technical excellence.
- Public Sector Impact: Contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives within public sector organizations, helping modernize government services for the digital age.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the absolute quality, performance, scalability, and security of all developed solutions, implementing comprehensive testing strategies.
Qualifications
- Core Expertise: 5+ years of professional experience in Java and enterprise application development (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.).
- AI/ML Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AI/ML solution design, development, and deployment. Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn is highly desirable.
- Integration Skills: Strong knowledge of APIs, REST services, and complex system integration patterns.
- Architectural Mindset: Proven experience with software architecture, technical analysis, and conducting peer code reviews.
- Non-Functional Requirements: A deep understanding of scalability, performance tuning, security protocols, and overall software quality metrics.
- Modern Tooling: Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) is a significant plus.
- Domain Experience: Previous experience working within the public sector or leading digital transformation projects is a strong advantage.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Spanish and conversational in English.
