Job Summary Plutus21 is looking for a freelance website developer to support the firm’s web presence across both Plutus21 Capital and Plutus21 Partners. This is a remote, project-based engagement. The right candidate works independently, delivers clean and functional builds, and can move from a brief to a working product without significant hand-holding. You will work closely with the design and marketing teams on web projects ranging from new builds to updates and ongoing maintenance across the firm’s existing sites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web properties aligned to briefs and design assets provided by the internal team
- Handle all aspects of development independently from initial build through to deployment and handoff
- Deliver functional, responsive, and well-structured work within agreed timelines
- Maintain consistency with each entity’s visual identity and brand standards across all web output
- Manage your own project schedule and communicate proactively on progress, blockers, and delivery status
- Organize and document work in a format accessible to the internal team for future reference and maintenance
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure design files are accurately translated into functional builds
- Participate in project planning and scoping to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and deliverables
- Utilize project management tools to track progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery
- Provide regular updates on project status, including any challenges or concerns that may impact delivery
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the firm’s existing web presence, including technical requirements, branding, and design guidelines
- Ensure all web properties are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and accessibility standards
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the firm’s web presence
- Conduct thorough research to stay current on emerging web technologies and innovations, ensuring the firm remains competitive and ahead of the curve
- Develop and maintain a network of professional contacts and resources in the web development community, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Utilize data and analytics to inform web development decisions, ensuring the firm’s online presence is optimized for user experience, engagement, and conversion
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated portfolio of professional web development work — links must be submitted with application
- Proficient in relevant development languages, frameworks, and CMS platforms appropriate to the scope of work
- Comfortable working from design files and translating them into accurate, functional builds
- Able to interpret a brief and execute independently without requiring extensive technical direction
- Reliable communicator with a consistent record of meeting deadlines on freelance engagements
- Prior experience working with professional services, corporate, or B2B brands is preferred
- Strong understanding of web development best practices, including accessibility, performance optimization, and security
- Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD, and the ability to work with design files
- Experience with project management tools, such as Asana, Trello, or Jira, to track progress and ensure timely delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment
